David Chamont is a Research Software Engineer based at IJCLab (Orsay, France). He is specialized in High Throughput Computing for High Energy Physics. He practices and teaches C++ and Python.
In the EVERSE context, David is mostly involved in WP5. He helps to collect and sort training resources, advocates for self-training issues, and investigates the use of generative AI. Within WP1, he contributes to the relations with the RSE communities, especially the French ones.
Apart from EVERSE, David has taken part to JENA Computing Initiative and is member of the French Committee for Open Science. He teaches modern scientific C++, SYCL, and organizes scientific computing events.
